I've been reading through my blog and I realised all my posts have pretty much been based around clothing trends and less around accessories. Accessories are my favourite fashion items, they are key elements in an outfit, and can turn one from boring to AMAZING with just the right necklace or the perfect pair of shoes.

So, in this post I am going to outline my favourite accessory trends for this season..

TREND NUMBER ONE: RETRO GLASSES

One of my favourite accessories! Retro glasses can add a quirky edge to any outfit, and fit with most styles such as girly, vintagey and rocky. Once you're going for a retro look why not buy from a vintage shop? You're more likely to find a bigger variety at a good vintage shop like Rockit or Absolutel Vintage than at a shop like Topshop where lots of people will probably have the same ones as you...

TREND NUMBER TWO: THE SILK SCARF

This is one of the most versatile accessories. It is a very classic item, yet there are SOOO many things you can do with it.

Some ideas are..

lacing them through boots, to give them a softer, more ladylike feel

some clutch bags have removable straps, so take the strap off and tie a silk scarf on to use as a strap

use as a belt

tie it around your head as a head scarf

twist it into a bracelet

you can wear the larger ones as a sarong on holiday

These are just a few ideas so you can have some fun thinking of creative ways to wear your scarf
